Welcome to Cafe Ceres

Bonjour and welcome to our Café Ceres website. After years of neglecting any sensible sort of marketing and relying almost entirely on 'word of mouth' we have decided to try and provide our customers - both existing and potential - with a decent source of information. Please have a look at our menus, reviews and other various pages and if you would like to comment or make an enquiry just get in touch via our email.

Café Ceres is a small, friendly, French café/bistro tucked away from the bustle of mainstream city centre life on Sharrow Vale Road, just round the corner from Hunter's bar roundabout. Many people who find us (eventually) comment that they had walked past it many times without noticing our existence. So don't let the small shop front put you off. Inside we can seat just over thirty and outside when the changeable British weather permits we have a very nice courtyard garden with seating for twenty.

Ceres has been run by us - Jean-Paul and Caroline Strappazzon - for nearly 9 years and we hope to offer simple, fresh, value for money eating in an easygoing, informal setting. We serve breakfasts and lunches 6 days a week and evening meals Thursday to Saturday, when we can also cater for private parties of up to 18.
