Pineau des Charentes
PINEAU DES CHARENTES
In the 16th century a wine maker mistakenly poured some newly pressed grape juice into a cask containing a little Cognac. Furious at his blunder, he put the “useless” cask into a corner of his storehouse and forgot about it. It was a few years later, to his surprise when pouring out the contents, he discovered a marvellous, clear liquid that tasted of the fruit and the sunshine that blesses the Charentes area. Pineau des Charentes was born, an accident no longer.
Pineau des Charentes Blanc – Domaine Paul Moreau
Delicate and fruity with a pleasant balanced sweetness.
Pineau des Charentes Rosé – Domaine Paul Moreau
Red berry aromas that emphasize its character, both elegant and luscious.
Like Cognac, Armagnac takes its name from the region where it is produced. The flavour is fuller and rounder than that of Cognac and it is more aromatic.
The Bas-Armagnac of the house of Delord has won 4 gold medals in Paris in the last most important competition in France.
